Psychology Research and Training Clinic
The PRTC provides outpatient treatment for issues such as depression, anxiety, problems with stress and adjustment, relationship and couples problems, eating disorders, substance use, learning problems, child/adolescent emotional and behavior problems, and parent-child relational difficulty. Services are provided using primarily individual therapy.

Badger Recovery is a program for students in or considering recovery from substance use. We understand recovery is individually defined, and we value the diverse experiences of our members and their personal goals. Badger Recovery helps create a community where students can access resources and support through a variety of meetings, events, and services.

Uwill is a UHS Mental Health Services partner that provides brief virtual counseling. You may sign up and schedule on you own. Uwill offers evening and weekend hours with appointments generally available within a week. There is no additional cost for Uwill.

Gynecology
UHS offers a range of gynecology services, including contraception, pregnancy counseling and referrals, STI screenings, and abortion follow-up. They provide telehealth visits for contraception, forensic exams for sexual assault survivors, and support for miscarriage or abortion follow-up care. Additional resources and emergency services are also available.

HIV Post-Exposure Prevention
UHS identifies high-risk situations for HIV/STI infection and emphasizes the importance of starting antiviral medication within 72 hours post-exposure. Immediate medical care is essential to assess risk, provide counseling, and initiate preventive treatment.

UHS offers outpatient psychiatric care focused on evaluation and medication management. Their integrated approach includes reviewing past treatments, conducting thorough evaluations, and proposing treatment plans. They provide culturally competent care tailored to individuals' beliefs, backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations.

Couple/Partner Counseling
Couples and partners can attend therapy at UHS in a confidential setting to address relationship challenges, improve communication, and understand interpersonal dynamics. One partner must be a UW-Madison student. Brief counseling focuses on healthy communication, navigating relationship changes, collaborative problem-solving, and exploring identity, intimacy, and sex.

Eating Disorders
Students with concerns about eating, exercise, and body image at UHS can seek an Eating Disorder Assessment or specialized care. The treatment team includes mental health providers, psychiatrists, medical providers, and nutritionists. Students are typically seen weekly or biweekly for counseling or referred to outside providers for specialized care. A UHS Care Manager assists students in finding appropriate services.

Mental Health Services Student Advisory Board
SAB facilitates dialogue between students and admin about mental health needs. It aims to enhance mental health resources and services through feedback, advocacy, and peer education. The board, meets monthly assisting in initiatives like reducing barriers for marginalized students and combating mental health stigma. Interested students must apply and, if selected, serve terms from spring to fall.

Counseling Psychology Training Clinic
CPTC provides high-quality, cost-efficient, and multiculturally competent psychological and mental health services. It serves both students and community members, offering individual counseling, group therapy, and crisis intervention. Staffed by graduate students under licensed psychologist supervision, the clinic emphasizes a diverse, inclusive approach to care.
